Drift Boss is a one-button arcade game where you drive a car along a winding, endless road. You tap or click to steer right and release to steer left. That's the entire control scheme. The road gets narrower, turns get sharper, and the speed ramps up the longer you survive. Fall off the edge, and the run is over.
The game was originally created by MarketJS in 2019. It caught on at school-friendly game sites like Math Playground and Cool Math Games, where it became one of the most-played browser games. The concept is simple but the timing is not. Most first-time players fall off within 10 seconds.
This version at 91GameStreet runs directly in your browser with no ads, no account, and no downloads. The game uses an HTML5 Canvas renderer that loads in under a second on most connections. It works the same on phones, tablets, and desktops.
The controls are as minimal as it gets. One input does everything.
Click anywhere, tap the screen, or press spacebar. The car starts moving forward immediately. There's no countdown and no tutorial screen.
Hold down click/tap/spacebar to drift right. Let go to drift left. The car auto-drives forward, so you only control the left-right drift angle. Timing is everything — hold too long and you slide off the right edge, release too late and you drop off the left.
The car accelerates gradually over time. The first 10 seconds feel manageable. By the 30-second mark, you need quick reactions. Past 60 seconds, the turns come fast and the margin for error is thin.
Yellow coins appear on the track. Drive over them to collect. You spend coins on unlocking new vehicles and purchasing boosters. Coin positions are random each run.
Miss a turn and the car tumbles off the track. The run ends and your score is recorded. If you beat your personal best, you can submit it to the global leaderboard.
There are 8 vehicles in the game. They all handle identically — what differs is the paint and the coin bonus: the pricier cars collect up to 40% more coins per run. The default green car is free. The other 7 cost coins to unlock.
Prices range from 50 coins for the Cruiser up to 2,000 coins for the Phantom. Once you unlock a vehicle, it stays unlocked permanently in your browser. Your unlock progress is saved in localStorage, so clearing your browser data will reset it.
You can switch vehicles any time from the vehicle selector below the game. The selector shows each car with its coin price and a lock icon if you haven't unlocked it yet. Tapping a locked car opens a confirmation dialog before spending your coins.
Boosters are single-use power-ups that you activate before starting a run. There are three types:
Every point you earn counts as 2. Useful for pushing your personal best or climbing the leaderboard.
A one-time shield. The first time you fall off the edge, you teleport back to the track and keep going. The second fall still ends the run.
Doubles the number of coins that spawn on the track. Good for saving up toward an expensive vehicle.
You earn boosters from the spin wheel that appears after each game over. The wheel has 6 segments: 3 give coins, 2 give a random booster, and 1 gives nothing. You can skip the wheel if you want.
A daily reward system gives you free coins on a 7-day cycle. Day 1 gives 100 coins, and it scales up to 1,000 coins on day 7. Missing a day resets your streak back to day 1. The reward banner appears at the top of the game when you have an unclaimed reward.
The leaderboard tracks scores across three time periods: today, this week, and all time. After beating your personal best, the game over screen lets you enter a display name and submit your score. Your country is detected automatically from your IP address so other players can see where top scores come from.
